A quick update on the job front. We received an encouraging phone call today from the company that "conditionally" offered John the job in August and then pushed back the date to January.
The hiring manager said they don't want to lose him at the last minute and are making a place for him in their main office until the big project begins.
We expect a formal offer (in writing!) either tomorrow or early next week.
